Cáceres has some reasonably priced hotels located in the Centro near the Praça Barão do Rio Branco, the focus of city nightlife. These are well established hotels popular with visiting Brazilian families and businessmen. Some budget hotels can be found near the Rodoviária Velha ('Old Bus Station' with connections to Cuiabá and Bolivia) which is close to the main Praça as well. There are some newer hotels out on BR-70, the interstate. These are nice but require a car or taxi to get around.
